Sightseeing Tours

Take a trip back in time. Visit a castle and stately gardens. Hatley Castle was completed in 1908. From 1941 until 1943 when Grant Block was completed, the castle served as dormitory and mess hall for cadets and staff officers at Royal Roads Military College. The building is 200 feet long and 86 feet wide; the turret is 82 feet high. The wall surrounding the estate, also built of local stone, cost over $75,000. The museum houses artifacts and exhibits that tell the story of the site from the days when the property was a Coastal Salish Indian burial site to the present time when it is home to the campus of Royal Roads University.

Then proceed to a local grocery store. You can browse the many isles of groceries, clothing, beauty supplies, videos and more. This store also sells items in super large sizes for large families. During this tour you will have your own guide to answer any questions you have.
